Re: Scratch BGM

Far as collecting goes, I think most editors will have a decent stock of BGM tracks, probably best to select the decent ones and share them. And yes, would be great to sort them according to said parameters, sort fo like what they do on sounddogs.com. Take a look. Volunteers is a great idea, but the...

Re: Scratch BGM

Hi Saurabh, The only point of this exercise of placing scratch bgm is that it helps to cut with a knowledge of the mood. And if you are screening the rough cuts for focus groups, it smooths out the viewing experience. Also as I mentioned earlier, provides a reference point to the composer. So its a ...

Scratch BGM

Is it possible to pool in our resources and come up with a bank of scratch bgm tracks. Its such a pain to source out appropriate bgm while editing. I know it would help me for sure if I could have access to a track that another editor has used for a similar scene, eg: a nice breezy track for a trave...

Re: veerapan was here too ....

the guards are useless anyway....there would be drunks (outside one, not ours) sleeping on the stone benches opposite the Wisdom Tree and they would never know.
All the same, can't believe this happened!!!
Seriously where were the nishachars?????
This is a serious security lapse.

Re: AFTER A LETTER ON graftii......

I should think the very act of first identifying the problem areas are a step towards resolving them, so yes, the letter was required. Since my batch is involved, it affects me all the more. I anticipate that some of the points made will be considered debatable by some of us. Everything said and don...

Re: AFTER A LETTER ON graftii......

Just out of curiosity, who has drafted the letter and done the research. Was this a GRAFTII initiative or did it come from the current students?

just a lot of idiotic moral policing from people who themselves have harem-fuls of mistresses (and erm...masters). Some bizarre projection-sublimation pattern.

Re: 4 in one!!!

Nice, Bakul. To add to your list the one film I managed to see (in the theatre) for the first time in seven months, turned out to be such a damp squib- "Ice Age 3". The 3D experience was bilkul NG for me. The 3D glasses were unwieldy and painful and I couldn't wait to take them off (plus w...
