Just one doubt about this... while all these calculations go on to assume that we want EXACTLY two pulses of light from the HMI to fall onto the film.. but that will only be possible when the camera shutter starts exactly at the zero crossover point of the ac cycle. whoops, sorry bout the error!! doesn't make a lot of sense then to have only a player that could play 4k if the only projectors were the humongously expensive sonys... Ah well i guess itll take some more time before we attain projection nirvana!

Hey guys, just stumbled onto this software called Pluraleyes which syncs multiple camera and audio streams automatically without any timecode! Best part is that it supports FCP!!
