Specific Characteristics The Festival ist a member of the network European Coordination of Film Festivals.

Evaluation This festival is dedicated to the interplay between films and new media, with the spotlight on video art and experimental film, and to a lesser extent, on short films and documentaries. It has become one of the main festivals for film media art in Europe, and the clientele is accordingly interdisciplinary.
Parallel to the festival, several exhibitions take place. Since the organizer, "Wand 5", is also active in the distribution, this is a good chance to position films of this type in the German-speaking market. Since 2006, the section "Micro Cinema" has been added to the festival, dedicated to films for portable devices like cellphones.
