FTII People

this is how it is going to be .. for those people who live in the dream of FTII as it was and over the years it has changed but there comes a time when there is a drastic revolution and the world changes and we feel ancient in our knowledge of how FTII was .. walk into FTII now and you will see a whole new world .. a world where people do not know who there seniours are let alone the superseniors ... some very interesting conversation in those lines

conversation - 1 (3-4 weeks in to the course )

senior : ( pointing at amit dutta ) do you knw who he is
student : no
senior : why are you not curious
student : should i be ...

Conversation - 2

Senior : ( after the screening of ajantrik ) how did you find the film
student( a direction student) : "IT WAS WATCHABLE"

the same guy after a few day

Senior : ( after fight club ) how did you find fight club
student( direction student) : fun

asking an acting student 3 weeks into the course
senior : do you know digvijay
student : no
(how can you miss all that meat )

Conversation - 4

Senior : %$#^&&& gallion say kisko problem hai
a student stands up
Senior : #$#%%&* tujhey galion say problem hai
student( direction) : yes
Senior : acha tu AD kasia baneyga
Student : i will never be an AD
all seniors clap

Conversation - 5

Senior : wht is wrong with you guys
student( camera ) : what sir
Senior : why dont you guys come for satsang
student : sir some people have problem
senior : what is your problem
student : sir i live outside
senior: so
student: i ahve to go it gets very late
senior: so go
student: what sir
senior: go

Conversation - 6

Senior : where the #$#%$%$ are the acting guys
student( acting ) : sir some of them are sick
Senior: are 17 of them sick .. go and get them tell its a call time you have to be here
the poor guys goes and comes bhack
senior : kaya hua
Student : sir they say how can they come on call time they are sick


in this world of the new FTII no one knows no one and no one is interested to know no one actually no one is interested in no one everyone is wanting to learn in isolation .. it is gonna get worse trust me

well to end this i would point out at the freshers three major issues
1. they have problem with running
2. they have problem with galian
3. they have problem with waking up late nights

hello megh! i think every generation likes to say that they were better off than the current ones. i think this is one of those things. I think our generation too will one day graduate and tell our juniors what a great time we had in our times.

things liek 'satsang' and all had a lot of meaning and joie-de-vivre once, perhaps. but now its Guy Ritchie over Amit Datta!

but i hear the attendance at the Archives screenings have been going down. Is it true? Is Guy Ritchie taking precedence over Kurosawa?

after getting everone( sadly everyone were only 15) in one straght line he says

stalker Anonymity is not the greatest of things espicially considering the fact that a lot of things are going on around the campus in the anonomus .. what is it that stops you from identifying yourself

though I would agree with stalker on that one... having heard three different batches trash the others above and below... I do think it's one of those things...

you do seem to having one hell of a time in FTII, Megh... If you stay on and collect all these lovely little anecdotes, you might have enuf material for a book... 'the changing face of FTII", 'the FTII that once was...' etc etc...

you know stalker ... if something that was dear to eveyone falls .. people feel bad .. even knowing that it would fall one day .. one does not want to admit it .. i am doing it .. i would request you to come out of your first year glory and just look around maaan ... i am not talking about passouts .. look in the institute .. it is like you want to pick out the goodies .. and not taste the bitter end .. taking shortcuts ... and i surly want to see what happens next year ..

the fact is, we have to be doubly pro-active and self motivated and come out with betterr and better work to uphold the name of the institute and also go ahead and tell better stories in the industry...
