Autodesk Competition for Students

Post by Paramvir Singh »

When it comes to imagination and innovation, are you ahead of the curve?

We're looking for young artists learning skills for film and video, game development, visualization, 3D illustration/graphic design and whose ideas blaze new trails. If you have what it takes to bring your ideas to life using Autodesk® Maya®, Autodesk 3ds Max®, and Autodesk MotionBuilder™ software, alone or in combination, then take up the challenge. Top industry gurus will judge your work—it could be the break you're looking for. You could also win fantastic prizes from HP®, ATI® and Nvidia®.

To enter, create one piece of work in any of the following categories and submit it by midnight, May 31, 2007

    * Games Development
    * Film and Video
    * Visualization
    * 3D Illustration / Graphic Design

Overall Grand-Prize

    * One ‘top-of-the-line’ workstation, courtesy of HP.
    * One Xbox, courtesy of ATI.

Runners-up

Five runners-up, selected from the total pool of entrants, will each receive either an ATI Fire® FL v5200 graphics card or an Nvidia Fx3450 graphics card.
Winners & Prizes

There is only one overall grand prize, but by submitting an entry into more than one category, you have an opportunity to increase your chance of winning the grand-prize or one of the five high-end, ATI or NVidia graphics cards awarded to the runners-up. Show the world how deep your imagination runs and how broad your skills are.

The competition is open to students over the age of 12, and post-secondary students in full-time or part-time study, who use these Autodesk 3D software applications to create the entry: Autodesk Maya; Autodesk 3ds Max; Autodesk MotionBuilder software, alone or in combination. Personal learning editions, where applicable, may also be used.

You must read the full eligibility and submission guidelines in the Official Rules document that you can download from this page. Unfortunately, we cannot consider entries submitted without all of the information required by the Rules.
