if you are working on comppressor and the batch monitor shows you 'unlimited time remaining' and doesnt move from there, then dont fret. its a bug in Compressor where Apple Qmaster tries to located clusters on the network.

Try switching off all internet connections and also remove your ethernet cable, if any. Then open compressor and select from top menu : Compressor -> Reset background processing

now try to create a new job. it should work. unfortunately I havent been able to come to a good enough solution to this annoying problem yet...
