Just wanted to check something which i am not sure about anymore...I am not sure where i read this. Will try it some day and post the results.
for the same exposure, the image size being the same - for eg - a portfolio, depth of field remains the same irrespective of the focal length used. the change in focal length being offset by the distance of the subject to the film plane. And the 'apparent' shallowness is because of the change in perspective in higher focal lengths.
