We are proud to present you our new CALL FOR ARTISTS: HYBRID IDENTITIES | UK / Cuba 2013.

International ArtExpo is selecting all interesting video/short films, photo works, computer graphics works, architecture projects and performances, to include in the next 2013 Exhibition:

HYBRID IDENTITIES – International Art Festival of Photography, Video Art, Computer Graphics, Architecture and Performing Art

Selected artworks will be presented at:
– Edinburgh, at the Old Ambulance Depot, from March 29th 2013, to March 31st 2013
– Cuba during the 5th edition of FIVAC, International Video Art Festival, in Camaguey, in “The Next Resistance” section, from 24th to 28th April 2013

The deadline for applications is February 25, 2013.

The selections will be based on the main concept of hybridization between identities and urban environment to create a smart life. People, backgrounds, societies, progress and all their inputs creates hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world. Mixing sustainable transport; modern (ICT) communication infrastructure; sustainable economic development; and wise management of natural resources, human, intellectual and social capital, is the key to reach a future better life quality. Be smart. Be hybrid. Be better.

The Edinburgh event is open to photography, video art, computer graphics, architecture and performing art; the Cuba event is open only to video art.

HYBRID IDENTITIES – International Art Festival of Photography, Video Art, Computer Graphics, Architecture and Performing Art | UK / Cuba 2013, held in:

– Edinburgh, at the Old Ambulance Depot, from March 29th 2013, to March 31st 2013
The creative space Old Ambulance Depot is situated in Edinburgh, in 77 Brunswick Street and

will held the “HYBRID IDENTITIES” exhibition from March 29th 2013, to March 31st 2013. The event in Edinburgh is open to photography, video art, computer graphics, architecture and performing art.

– Cuba during the 5th edition of FIVAC, International Video Art Festival, in Camaguey, in “The Next Resistance” section, from 24th to 28th April 2013
The 5th FIVAC, International Video Art Festival will held in Camaguey (Cuba) from 24th to 28th April 2013. Within the festival, there is “The Next Resistance” section, which show different International video art projects and allows the interchange experiences and collaboration between Cuban artists and institutions with the International ones. “The Next Resistance” will show a representative selection of the great variety of contemporary audiovisual outlook, which will serve as a platform for insertions and exchanges between the FIVAC Festival and other allover the world. The event in Camaguey is open only to video art.

The selection will be based on the main concept of hybridization between identities and urban environment. ArtExpo’s audience will select by public vote the winner of 1 year of participation in International ArtExpo’s festivals. After being selected to take part in the festivals, International ArtExpo will upload the participants’ artworks on International ArtExpo website and give the artists the direct link of their artworks. The number of works you can submit is unlimited. The participation in the International Art Festival requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation open to: artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.
